Rise (Resource Identify Suitable Equipment) & Living Well – is a 2 day event at the Kent Event Centre and is now the largest disability event in the South East. This will be their 3rd year and 2019 will be bigger and better as they continue uniting disability and Well Being services, also promoting integration in therapy throughout the South East via their ongoing partnership with Kent County Council and the NHS Foundation Trust and NEW for 2019 Maidstone Age UK.
On Friday 14th June – there will be several conferences and over 100 exhibitors inside the main hall. The event is aimed at OT’s, Allied health professionals, social care, both independent and private, case managers, carers – as well as families with children or adults living with a disability. There will also be a Moving and Handling Training workshops, Plus Postural Management Training with guest speakers. The Occupational Therapy Integration Theatre is being organised by Head of occupational therapy Jane Millar from Kent County Council. The Housing and Adaptations theatre is being run by Kent County Council and the housing & adaptations providers in the Kent area.
On Saturday 15th June – We introduce our brand new Living Well event which is an exciting outdoor festival working with Maidstone AGE UK, this will run alongside our exhibition RISE (Saturday Only) together with the exhibition of disability products and services in the main hall. Outside – we will have a Mobility advice and test track, lots of charities giving advice, music festival (local bands), inclusive sports and much more.
