Naidex success for ShopmobilityComments Off on Naidex success for Shopmobility
Naidex took place over two days the 26th and 27th of March and the NFSUK were there to shout about shopmobility. About not only the 40th anniversary of shopmobility schemes and the 30th anniversary of the NFSUK but also about what it is shopmobility does.
It was a successful two days with many visitors to the stand on both days. Many people stopped just to say what a fantastic service shopmobility is which was lovely to hear but also to ask what shopmobility is which gave us the opportunity to educate the public and trade on the service shopmobility provides. We also got to meet up with a number of members, Leamington Spa Shopmobility, Chesterfield Shopmobility Nuneaton Shopmobility and Maidenhead & Windsor Shopmobility, It was lovely to catch up with you all and meet some of you for the first time face to face.
Many people came to the stand to let us know about their products or services that might appeal to the clients of shopmobility and we will be bringing you information over the next few weeks about some of those products and services. Today we are going to highlight an experience that you could take part in.
Hiking or long walks is often something that most of us will enjoy at some point in our lives however when your mobility becomes more difficult for any reason past pleasures can become a distant memory. This doesn’t have to be the case though, you may not be able to walk as far as you used to but mobility scooters are allowing the mobility impaired to take back their independence, not only that but they can also give back access to some of those past times you enjoyed when you were more mobile.
Dartmoor Walking festival has been going for many years and last year, as part of the festival, 9 days of mobility scooter walks were added to the festival. The success of these walks has led to an encore this year, there are three levels of the walk from level 1 for 4mph mobility scooters to level 3 routes for the TGA Supersport and tramper type mobility scooters.
